Is
the SSPA for me?
Do
you represent a non-profit agency who contracts with the State of
New
Jersey for the provision of social services in New Jersey?
Are you an association representing a cluster of agencies who contract
with
the State of
New
Jersey to provide social services? Are you a subcontractor of a non-profit
agency who contracts with the State of New Jersey to provide social
services? Are you interested in controlling costs related to the
provision
of social services in
your non-profit corporation?
If
you answered yes to any of these questions, becoming a member of the
the social service purchasing alliance (SSPA) may represent a benefit
to you.
What
are the member benefits of the SSPA?
SSPA
negotiates directly with providers of goods and services for special
rates. Currently we offer special pricing on food and supplies, dental,
vision and life insurance products.
The
result is lower and stabilized expenditures for goods and services for
your agency. You deal directly with the provider of the service and
benefit from our pre-negotiated special rates. Also, in most cases,
you will find the SSPA products offer improved or expanded benefits
over those that you may have now.
SSPA
is committed to supporting non-profit organizations who care for New
Jersey's most vulnerable citizen's and are under contract with these
two state departments.
SSPA
dues are kept low. Dues are either $100, $250 or $500 per year, depending
on the size of your annual budget.
SSPA
membership is required to participate in these programs.

Health Insurance
Update
SSPA is currently
negotiating with a major health insurance provider in New Jersey to
provide lower cost health insurance to social services provider member
agencies. Our current plan is to offer a 4% discount of of the published
rates for this insurance program. SSPA membership will be required to
participate in this program in order to comply with the alliance law.
We expect to have a program in place by the Fall of 2008.
In the meantime,
please look at the programs offered by NJ Family Care. There may be
a specific program that meets your needs (SSPA membership not required).
